The VMX series is used in a wide range of applications involving high-viscosity fluids and is employed across various industries.
Principle of operation
The X-type mixing elements are specially designed for mixing and/or dispersing all types of (highly) viscous media.
In almost all cases, this involves laminar flow.
The medium is continuously distributed, stretched and transported from the inside to the outside of the pipe diameter and back again.
Each mixing element is positioned in line at an angle of 90° to the previous mixing element.
Due to the strong cross-flow velocity gradients, the additive splits as it passes through the mixing element.
This results in increasingly finer streaks until the mixture is ‘homogeneous’.
